Hallsberg Municipality is a Municipality, in Örebro County, in central Sweden. Its seat is Hallsberg (pop. 7,200).

Hallsberg is most famous for being a "link-up" for the country's railroads, especially the western main line railway (Västra Stambanan). Railroads to or from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Mjölby, Örebro and Karlstad join here.

A sight in the municipality is the Bergööska House, built in the 1880s and filled with paintings by Carl Larsson (a relative of the architect Ferdinand Boberg).

Hallsberg Municipality is a Municipality, in Örebro County, in central Sweden. In the 1960ies and 70ies Hallsberg Municipality, Hallsberg, Viby, Sköllersta and Svennevad were formed into this administrative unit.

The demographic centerpoint of Sweden lies in Svennevad, Hallsberg. Sköllersta, Pålsboda, Östansjö and Vretstorp are the larger villages of the municipality.


Its seat is Hallsberg (pop. 7,200) It is most famous for being a "link-up" for the country's railroads, especially the western main line railway (Västra Stambanan). Railroads to or from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Mjölby, Örebro and Karlstad join here. As the railway was built, the city of Hallsberg grew up around it, (as did Pålsboda, Östansjö and Vretstorp).

The main industries are Volvo, Ahlsells, and enterprises related to the railway.

Hallsberg is an educational center, most of the 16-19 year olds from Askersund, Kumla, Hallsberg and Laxå go to Alléskolan (a gymnasium)in Hallsberg.

A sight in the municipality is the House of the Bergöö family, built in the 1880s and filled with paintings by Carl Larsson (married to Karin, daughter of the founder, Adolf B. and a relative of the architect Ferdinand Boberg).
