Halifax Regional School Board

The Halifax Regional School Board (HRSB) is the public school board responsible for the approximately 150 elementary, junior high, and high schools located in the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The board is made up of twelve elected members representing various school family groups and one at-large member representing African-Nova Scotian students throughout the entire Halifax Regional Municipality. The board is elected every four years in conjunction with the election of members to the municipal council. Elections have been held in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
The current Superintendent of the HRSB is Carol Olsen, who has held the position since 2002.
