Half Moon Island (South Shetland Islands) — minor subantarctic island, lying about 120 kilometres north of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Geographical coordinates: 62°35′44 S°59′54.

Half Moon Island has a sizable rookery of chinstrap penguins as well as nesting Antarctic terns and kelp gulls. Whales are often seen patrolling the shores, and this small island offers stunning views of surrounding mountains.
