Hala (Sindhi: هـالا) is a town in the Pakistani province of Sindh .
HISTORY Taluka Hala Comprises on one Taluka Municipal Administration Hala and 6 Union Councils with following details Taluka Hala is situated at left bank of Indus river. The population of reconstituted Taluka Hala is 1,61,980 as per census of 2000.

[[[[SALIENT FEATURES OF TOWN HALA AND BHITSHAH.]]]]Hala is one of Historical, Literary, Religious Spiritual town of Sindh. This town is also famous through the subcontinent in Art, Pottery, wood work, Cloth printing, Weaving cloth in various beautiful designs. According to Revenue record Hala Town had been given status of Taluka in 1848A.D.
There is a mausoleum of Hazrat Makhdoom Nooh ‘Reh’ where people from all over the world visit to pay homage on the Shrine to the pious Saint & visit the Town to purchase Artisan Article and cloth. The population of the Town in more than 50000 souls and the area of the Town is spread over more than six kms.
In the vicinity of Hala there is another mausoleum of the world poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai at Bhitshah at the distance of 5km from Hala City Bhitshah Town is a sub-office of Taluka Municipal Administration Hala
ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES
Main economic activities in Taluka Hala is Agriculture, wheat, cotton, and an other crops which are growing by the local Landlord and farmers in the area.
Economic activities consist on Landlord, Businessmen, Government Servant, Peasant / Farmer, cottage industries e.t.c.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.
Taluka Hala is also centre of Social activities where Hala Samaji Tanzeem, United Memon Jamait, Halai Social Welfare Association, Pak Khursheed Welfare, HANDS, Paiman, Sheds and another so many Tanzeem are working to uplift the status of mankind.
MAIN PLACES OF INTEREST
In the limits of Taluka Municipal Administration Hala two main places of interest for commonman are 1- Mausoleum of Hazrat Makhdoom Nooh ‘Reh’ at Hala and 2- Mausoleum of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai ‘Reh’ at Bhitshah

Mohammad Shakeel Munawer AbroShakeel Abro Mr. Abro has worked with leading civil society organizations and public sector organisations in different parts of Pakistan since ten years. He has the demonstrated ability and expertise in strengthening the capacity of community-based and mid level NGOs and alliances. He did his Masters in Business Administration-MBA with specialization in Marketing and Masters in Economics from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Pakistan. He has completed a year long training course in Managing People and Organizations from LUMS under LUMS-McGill University (Canada) Social Enterprise Management Program for Pakistan. In addition to this Institute of International Education Development-IIED San Francisco under Leadership Development Mechanism (LDM) awarded him a fellowship for undertaking an International development course on Management of Reproductive Health Services from Nairobi-Kenya. He has a proven experience in management; strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, development communications, advocacy and policy dialogue with government, corporate sector and donor agencies, and managing large and small teams. He worked exclusively in the sectors of health, education, micro credit, agriculture, information technology, infrastructure with hands on experience in designing and delivering Trainings, Institutional development, Projects development, monitoring and evaluations, networks strengthening.
He participated in various national and international exposure visits of different development programs like Grameen Bank, BRAC & Proshika in Bangladesh, Local Govt. system in Philippines, Local Govt. Associations in Thailand and World CIVICUS Assembly in Glasgow Scotland.
Mr. Abro has selected as Director Asia by IACD UK. He is an active member of European Association of Research Managers and Adminstrators (EURMA) , Global Development Network(GDN) ,Leadership Development Program for Mobilising RH and Alumni member of Centre for African Family Studies-CAFS.
At present He is working with Govt. of Sindh /ADB in Sindh Devolved Social Services Program as Participatory Planning & Community Development Specialist at Provincial Program Support Unit. Program has engaged 23 district govts. And 119 town / taluka govts. in improving service delivery in health, education and WSS by provision of conditional grants. Program has its special emphasis on public pvt partnership in service delivery by engaging pvt sector and NGOs and CBOs.
