Hal Scardino

Hal Scardino is an American child actor (Born as Albert Henry Hugh Scardino) best known for the leading role in the movie The Indian in the Cupboard. Over 500 kids from 200 cities tried out for the part but ultimately Scardino was picked. Scardino, dedicated to his role, read the entire script before shooting started and mastered his lines easily. Hal Scardino had great reviews on his acting performance, but it turned out that people thought he was supposed to be playing a victim of Down Syndrome. Scardino also previously starred in Searching for Bobby Fischer and later in Marvin's Room.
He is currently attending Columbia University and is a member of the Columbia University fencing team.
