Hakim, or Al-hakim with the article, is:
- (al-)hakim is a title in Arabic and some other oriental Muslim languages, but note that there are actually two separate Arabic words which can be transcribed into English as "Hakim" — حكيم ħakīm means wise man or physician, while حاكم ħākim means a ruler, governor, or judge.
- "Hakim" (حكيم), also written as Hakeem, is a title given to a practitioner of Herbal Medicine which is referred to as Hikmat.
- al-Hakim is also one of 99 names of Allah meaning the Healer.
