Hakea archaeoides is a large shrub or small tree which is endemic to forest areas on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia.
It grows up to 7 metres in height and 4 metres in width and has red and greenish-yellow coloured flowers in pendant axillary clusters which appear from spring to early summer followed by woody seed capsules which are approximately 2 to 3 cm long. The leaves are up to 25 cm long and 1 to 3 cm wide.
