The 8th plate from Ernst Haeckel's Kunstformen der Natur (1904), depicting Discomedusae. The central medusae (1 & 2) are Desmonema Annasethe; Haeckel named them after his wife Anna Sethe, who died the year before Haeckel observed the organism.
