Hackney North (UK Parliament constituency)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hackney North was a parliamentary constituency in what was then the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney, in London. It returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

The constituency was created under the Redistribution of Seats Act, 1885 from 1885, and abolished under the Representation of the People Act, 1948 for the 1950 general election, when it was largely replaced by the new Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency.
