Hacivat

Hacivat is a fictional character from Turkish Theatre of shadows. He is the natural companion of Karagöz.
He represents the educated class, speaks Ottoman Turkish and uses poetical and literary language. On the contrary his friend represents the illiterate but straightforward public. The central theme is formed on their interaction.
