Ha Mechona Shel Ha Groove (translated as "The Groove Machine”) is the debut album by Israeli 7-piece hip hop funk outfit Hadag Nachash (meaning the Snakefish). This album is arguably its most funk-oriented, featuring more funk-esque musical backing than the more typical hip-hop style musical backing found on its later albums (the final two tracks on this album being the exception). It features their first hit, "Shalom Salaam Peace," as well as having more liberal themes in their lyrics, such as the need for peace; Hadag Nachash also attacks the Israeli government and Israelis whose patriotism take place over their concern for fellow human beings, such as "Avaryan" (Criminal), where the narrator claims to be a blue-white-collar criminal (as opposed to just a blue- or white-collar criminal), blue and white being the color of the Israeli flag, or Trumpeldor, named for an Israeli army general who famously claimed, “It is good to die for your country.”
