Hølonda

Hølonda is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Melhus in 1865. The new municipality, which was called Høilandet at that time, had a population of 1.818. It is unclear when the name change to Hølonda took place.

On 1 January 1964 Hølonda was reincorporated into Melhus. Prior to the merger Hølonda had a population of 1.428.
