Hârlău is a town in Iaşi County, Moldavia, Romania. As of 2004 the estimated population is 11,271. It was the capital city of Moldova in the 15th century.

Dr. Agapie was nominated to be the Mayor of Hârlău after the fall of the Iron Guard in January 1941.

A majority of the inhabitants are Romanians. A large Jewish minority used to live in Hârlău.
