Gyland

Gyland is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.
It was created by a split from Bakke on 31 December 1893. At that time Gyland had a population of 1.085.
On 1 January 1965 Gyland, as well as Bakke, Hidra and Nes, became incorporated into the neighboring municipality Flekkefjord. Prior to the merger Gyland had a population of 691.
