By combining the security and best practices of traditional e-commerce networks with the agility and responsiveness of the Internet, GXS Trading Grid offers significant speed and cost advantages over traditional, do-it-yourself integration solutions. In 2005, the GXS Trading Grid processed more than 4 billion business documents.

In 2004, GXS acquired HAHT Commerce launching its global data synchronization strategy. In 2005, GXS acquired the EDI and Business Exchange Services assets of IBM Corporation greatly strengthening its presence in the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Latin America and deepening its ability to serve the financial services industry[2].

The company's solutions are currently marketed as UDEX - A GXS Service.
