GWR 7800 Class 7808 Cookham Manor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cookham Manor is a Great Western Railway locomotive. It was obtained directly for preservation from British Railways when it was purchased by a member of the Great Western Society in 1965. It was said to be considered highly by the crews that operated her. Unusually, the locomotive was fitted with a larger 4000 gallon water tender.
The locomotive saw considerably main line use whilst in preservation, but it is currently in static preservation status awaiting a major overhaul at Didcot Railway Centre.
