The Guyana Action Party is a socialist political party in Guyana. At the elections, 19 March 2001, an alliance of the Guyana Action Party with the Working People's Alliance won 2.4 % of the popular vote and 2 out of 65 seats. In the 28 August 2006 elections the party allied itself with the Rise Organise and Rebuild Guyana Movement forming the GAP-ROAR coalition. The party's leader is Paul Hardy. Its results are not available but it is known that it did not significantly increase its political strength.
