Guy Smith

Guy Smith (born September 12, 1974 in Beverly, England, UK) is a motor racing driver who has competed in various levels of motor sport. He did well in the British Formula Three Championship for a couple of seasons and moved to America in 1998, contesting two seasons in Indy Lights. Since then he has raced primarily in the American Le Mans and Grand-Am series, posting an overall win at the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans with co-drivers Tom Kristensen and Rinaldo Capello driving a Bentley Speed 8 model. It is the most recent time a closed prototype car has won the enduro. In 2004 he made his Champ Car debut the second half of the season for Paul Gentilozzi's Rocketsports effort, but was dropped prior to 2005 for pay driver Timo Glock. He is now racing in the Grand-Am series for Dyson racing.
