You say on your user page you're a communist, so surely you understand the distinction between socialism and communism? The People's Socialist Republic of Albania was a country with a socialist system led by a communist party that claimed to be guiding the country through the long-term transition to communism. - Well, I'm not sure we need to get into basic Marxist theory on a bio article on Hoxha, at least not in the intro. However, the article does need more info on Hoxha's theory and writings; if you'd like to add some info on that, that'd be great, and you could include a little general M-L theory if you wanted where it was relevant. - I removed the "de facto" bit because he was head of the party until his death. It is true in a sense, because that isn't head of state or government, but it could be misleading; head of the party was definitely the most powerful position. Stalin was also just general secretary until 1941, after all. Everyking 01:31, 10 Sep 2004 (UTC)
To answer your question, I actually think that there should only be a single article on the NLF, with a section on the article on the use of the pejorative term "Viet Cong" by the South Vietnamese regime and the U.S. However, the "Fox News crowd," which you mentioned, is unabashedly U.S.-centric, and they insisted on a single article about the "Viet Cong" (precisely because of the racist and POV connotations of the term in the U.S.). So, we agreed to have two separate articles (NLF on the organization and "Viet Cong" about the term") as a compromise to end an edit war. 172 19:44, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Hey, I'm not really a communist. You could call me market socialist, but I do sympathize with your cause. Users Lir and Punkche are communists here if your interested. :)--Plato 04:11, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Could you please tell where you got that Queen Maria Jose supported Mussolini? She was pro-allied.--Plato 04:20, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

InfoShopOpenWiki is an alternative GFDL corpus access provider where a "people's history" of the world is beginning to be written. It is intended to be a broad, popular front wiki for anarchists, socialists, communists, liberals and what have you to have encyclopedia articles on history and politics. It is supported by a number of former Wikipedia users such as User:Richardchilton and User:Lancemurdoch who feel that Wikipedia has a very heavy white-collar American bias, despite its supposed neutral point of view policy. For instance, most of the history of countries on Wikipedia comes from the CIA Factbook, the US State Department, or even the Overseas Private Investment Corporation like the "History of Colombia" article.
- Thanks Sir whomever you are, I'll join them but I'm planning to stay with wikipedia also.--Gustuv 23:41, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Yes, it certainly is a violation of NPOV policies. But I don't know if it's possible to reason with Sam Spade. You can go ahead and revert him; it looks better when I'm not the only person rejecting these changes, after all. Thanks for pointing this out to me. 172 03:38, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the nice comments! Regarding Plato, while I can't speak for him, my impression is that he is upset with me because we have long been on different sides regarding User:Lir, whom Plato has long supported. (Although this user made a number of very constructive edits, Lir had trouble dealing with scores of users on many occasions, including me.) I'm not really bothered if Plato says that I "mean trouble," though... I'll try to work with him constructively if I cross paths with him again, disregarding these past differences. Hope this clears everything up, 172 23:25, 29 Sep 2004 (UTC)
