My name is Gusuku (not my real name). I live roughly 60 miles northwest of New York City as the GoogleEarth flies, in an area that is politely called "the Catskills," but it's more like the Catskills foothills, as the real peaks are further north. I am of mixed Okinawan-American and Anglo-American ancestry. (Gusuku is the Okinawan word for "castle.") I was born and raised in Manhattan, but have lived in urban areas throughout the U.S., and have spent some time in Germany. (I wasn't in the military; I just sort of drift around.) I'm a middle-aged male. I spent several years working as a legal secretary in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. I now live in a trailer park with my mom in an economically depressed rural area. I'm studying geography at nearby SUNY New Paltz with vague plans of becoming a cartographer or GIS person or remote sensing expert or something.
