Gunfire is a DC Comics superhero. He first appeared in Deathstroke the Terminator annual #2. During the Bloodlines crossover, Venev (one of the Alien Parasites) attacked Andrew Van Horn and after surviving the attack, he gained super powers of agitating atoms out of small objects to create a super powerful concussive force. The objects, however, had to have a focal point for the blasts (such as a crowbar or a metal pipe). Eventually, the objects would disintergrate. Interestingly, if Van Horn attempted to use an object without a focal point (i.e. a snowglobe), it would become a timed explosive, like a hand grenade. However, on at least one occasion Gunfire was able to release a concussive force blast without using an object. He was able to agitate atoms in the air in front of his hands and released enough energy to send himself flying backwards through a wall. This would seem to indicate that he could use his powers sans objects, but uses them as conduits.
He used his abilities to stopping terrorist activities, including putting an end to his father's illegal arms dealings.
