Gulfmon is a Mega Level Demon Beast Digimon, the Digivolved form of Mephistomon. Built like a centaur, the top half is a torso of a demon with armor and the bottom half is a furry beast with four legs, a tail and wings. Its Japanese name is Galfmon.

When the Tamers battled Mephistomon in an apocalyptic world created by him, they thought that they had defeated him. In truth he Digivolved to Gulfmon to battle the Tamers again. In this form he was much bigger and powerful but less intelligent. With his attacks he was able to deal a lot of damage to the Digimon of the Tamers in their Champion forms but then Calumon's powers activated and let the three Digimon Digivolve to their Ultimate Level. In their Ultimate forms, WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon combined their powers in the Trinity Burst attack which impaled and destroyed Gulfmon.
