Gulf of Anadyr

The Gulf of Anadyr, or Anadyr Bay (Russian: Анадырский залив), is a gulf in the extreme northeast of Siberia, Russia.

It is in the northwestern part of the Bering Sea and extends from Cape Chukchi on the north to Cape Navarin in the south. Its gulf is about 250 miles (400 km) across. It extends into two other bodies of water, the Bay of Krest and the Anadyr River. The Gulf of Anadyr is covered with ice normally 10 months a year.

The town of Anadyr, the administrative center of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, is located on its coast.
