Guitar Hero III will be the third installment in the Guitar Hero series developed by Harmonix Music Systems and published by Activision. Like its two predecessors, the game will utilize a guitar controller to play songs. It is not expected to be released until Q4 2007.[1]
An unofficial website[2] was taking suggestions from fans of which songs should be featured in the game. Currently, voting has stopped as their goal has been reached and votes are being compiled. Before the voting stopped, the most requested band was Metallica, widely before closer competitors AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. The most requested song was Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train", insistently followed by Eagles' "Hotel California" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven."
