Guido Masetti

Guido Masetti (November 22, 1907November 27, 1993) was an Italian football (soccer) player in goalkeeper role.

Masetti was born in Rome. He played during his whole career (1929-1943) at A.S. Roma, with 339 matches and one Italian title in season 1941-42. It was one of the strongest goalkeeper in 1930s and 1940s, but for Italy national football team he was reserve of Giampiero Combi and Aldo Olivieri.

Masetti won two World Cups in 1934 and 1938 without playing any games.

In 1950s he was manager of A.S. Roma for 10 games (5 in season 1950-51, and other 5 in season 1956-57). He died at 86 years old in Rome.
