The Guards Museum is a military museum in Central London, England. It is located in Wellington Barracks on Birdcage Walk close to Buckingham Palace, which is the home of the five regiments of Foot Guards (the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, and Welsh Guards). The museum was first opened to the public in 1988, and tells the history of the regiments from the 17th century to the present day. The displays include examples of uniform, chronicling the evolving dress of the various regiments. There are also paintings, drawings, and sculptures, depicting the various battles in which the regiments have played a part.
