Guangdong Southern Tigers

Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers (广东宏远宝玛仕华南虎) or Guangdong Southern Tigers or Guangdong Hongyuan are the basketball team owned by the Guangdong Hongyuan Group playing in the South Division of the Chinese Basketball Association, based in Dongguan, Guangdong.
They have won the CBA championship three years in a row, from the 2003–04 season to the 2005–2006 season.
In the 2004–2005 season, the Guangdong Southern Tigers finished in second place in the South Division, defeated the Jilin Northeast Tigers in the quarter-finals and the Bayi Rockets in the semi-finals, and then defeated the Jiangsu Dragons in the finals.
In both of their last two championships, the Tigers defeated the Bayi Rockets in the finals.
The team has four national team players, one of whom is NBA prospect Yi Jianlian. Two others are national team starters, and the fourth is potential NBA prospect, Chen Jianghua, who plays for their junior team.
