Guéra Region

Guéra is one of the 18 regions of Chad (Decrees N° 415/PR/MAT/02 and 419/PR/MAT/02), and its captal is Mongo. It is formed by the former Guéra Prefecture

The region's population had 306,653 inhabitants in 1993, of whom 263,843 are sedentary (rural, 219,884; urban, 43,959), and 42,810 nomad.
The main ethnico-linguistic groups are the Hadjerai (66,18 %) and the Arabs (21,11 %).
