GTK Russia has charter capital of 1.352 billion rubles. It is registered in St. Petersburg, has a branch in Moscow and has 54 representations in Russia and abroad. First Deputy General Manager of the airline is Gennadiy Boldyrev.

Is 100% state-owned and unified company GTK Russia and Pulkova started flying on October 29 under one flag. The merger process began in December 2004. The Russian government approved the charter of federal state-run unitary enterprise Federal Transport Company Russia in early May 2006, which was created through a merger with Pulkovo Airlines.
Federal state-run unitary enterprise GTK Russia has signed an agreement with Air France-KLM on mutual recognition of carrier documentation, the terms of the agreement will make it possible to register flights using any one of the airlines' forms.
The company has signed of late a protocol of intentions with RLS to buy a second-hand SRG-200 aircrafts of Bombardier. As it was earlier reported, the company planned to replace Tu-134 in the fleet of 100% state-owned company GTK Russia for Embraer, as Embraers were not certified for flights in Russia, the Vedomosti newspaper reported.

GTK Russia passengers can now be issued with one ticket for flights from St. Petersburg via Amsterdam to Toronto, San Francisco, Bangkok, Havana, Lisbon, Madrid and other cities. Passengers on flights from St. Petersburg can travel through Paris' Charles De Gaulle airport to Dubai, Amman and U.S. cities.
Another agreement came into force on November 1 in which passengers on GTK Russia will have access to special prices for flights between St. Petersburg and other KLM destinations.
