GT Bicycles

GT Bicycles is a large US manufacturer of road, mountain, and BMX bicycles. Founded in 1979, the company was fusioned with Schwinn in 1998, but the conglomerate went bankrupt in 2001, and was acquired by Pacific Cycle. Pacific was acquired by Dorel Industries in 2004.

GT bikes are often readily identifiable by the unique "triple triangle" frame design present in most hard tail designs, where the seat stays attach to the top tube forward of the seat tube and additional weld points on the seat stays bond them to the seat tube.
