Grosskrotzenburg Power Station

Grosskrotzenburg Power Station ( Grosskrotzenburg Staudinger Power Station) is a German, predominantly steam power plant beaconed with hard coal. It is convenient with Grosskrotzenburg in the Land of the Federal Republic Hessen. It has an achievement of approx.. 2000 megawatts, distributes on five blocks. The individual power station blocks went between 1965 and 1992 into enterprise. The block 4 is natural gas-beaconed and serves the production of peak load stream. The blocks 1-3 serve the production of mean load stream, block 5 of the production of basic load stream. A characteristic of the block 5 is that it does not have a fire-place, but the desulphurised flue gases over the cooling tower to be emitted. The power station is operated of the E.ON of power stations GmbH and is the largest employer in Grosskrotzenburg. It possesses an electrified track connection to the Main Spessart course.
