Groenlandaspis is an extinct genus of armored fish belonging to the class Placodermi.
Groenlandaspis was an arthrodire, a group of specialized placoderms which also included the 10 m (33 ft) superpredator Dunkleosteus. Like its kin, Groenlandaspis had a joint in the armor between its body and skull, allowing for the head to be raised when opening the mouth. This resulted in a large maw. Groenlandaspis lived on the ocean floor, feeding on small creatures.
