Grindersparks and Long stand was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was NO CONSENSUS - where there appeared to be consensus to merge and redirect the articles somewhere no agreement was reached as to where. In fact the consensus apeared to be to merge with an as-yet-to-be-written article. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 00:36, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Slang term. RickK 08:31, Oct 28, 2004 (UTC)
- Move to Wiktionary, if appropriate. There's a gazillion terms used for that purpose, and I personally have never heard of grindersparks, so I don't know how widespread it is. -- Ferkelparade π 08:39, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete both, with a henweigh. Not appropriate argot. Geogre 13:57, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- If there are a huge number of terms used for that purpose, we should identify the title for that purpose, create an article on it, and include all of the terms that are commonly used. Then, we should merge and also redirect. Posiduck 15:22, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- I would go along with that, but I don't know what, other than nonsense, or busywork, would be appropriate, and neither of those seems like it would be a proper home for these particular articles, which seem to be confined just to "apprentice/master" situations (which are alien in the US, so I'm assuming they're part of the UK culture).
