[edit] Universe

Maybe YOU consider the Wal*Mart Landfill set and the "Dinobots" subline Grimlock "unofficially part of Universe," but it's NOT a popular opinion, and OFFICIALLY, they belong in other lines, and they are mentioned accordingly in the respective section of the page. Likewise, the Scavenger repaint of Grimlock? It's not Grimlock - it's Scavenger, so it barely merits mention. All that leaves for a Universe sub-section is War Within Grimlock's comic appearance, it's not not worth creating a heading for one sentence of information, so that is mentioned in the Dreamwave section. CONDENSE information into the smallest possible space for easy consumption - don't expand it unnecessarily.

Walmart Grimlock appeared in a Universe storyline. War Within Grimlock appeared in 2 issues of the comics and in a voice actor play. Reuses of a mold formerly from Grimlock seem worth one sentence mentions. usertalk:mathewignash

[edit] Speech impediment

One theory for Grimlock's speech impediment in this series is that Grimlock's memory is programmed with so much information about combat tactics and war strategies that very little memory was left over for other subjects like the comprehensive rules that govern speech. As a result, the only speech program that would fit in the remaining space was a minimalized set of grammatical rules.

I never saw anything like this theory in The War Within comics. Can anyone point me to the book & page where that's said? If it's not from the series and is just fan speculation, then I'm sorry, but Wikipedia isn't the place for it. -- Ritchy 19:50, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
In the Dreamwave MTMTE series Optimus Prime theorizes Grimlock doesn't fix the glitch in his speech processor on purpose because he likes his opponents underestimating him. User:Mathewignash

[edit] Added info on Grimlock's death

Added in a little bit about Grimlock's death in the Generation 2 story Allignment. As very few people know about this story (even though it was written by Simon Furman), I thought it might be important to add in. The story Allignment was recently put up for download from the website for Transforce, the UK convention that published it.

[edit] Strength

I reckon Grimlock was stronger than Optimus Prime or Megatron. The Tech Specs only went up to 10. Grimlock might've been as high as 13.

Doubt it. He was shown to stalemate Megs, not outright beat him in a few episodes. And in the Marvel comics Megs was able to hammer all 5 Dinobots when not even at full power. Only Prime is Megatron's equal in strength in virtually all continuities.SMegatron 18:34, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lack of sources and references

I don't see any problem with this page. It has info from the toy box, and people who read the comic books and watched the TV show. Seems fine to me. 6-21-06 user:Mathewignash
