Grisha Filipov

Georgi Stanchev Filipov (Bulgarian: Гриша Филипов) (July 13, 1919 - November 2, 1994) was a leading member of the Bulgarian Communist Party who served as Prime Minister of the country from 1981 to 1986.

A leading member of the Politburo, he formed his government on 16 June 1981 following elections to the National Assembly.

In 1992, Filipov was charged with misappropriation of state funds and went on to die in prison.
