[edit] Grim for a Day
Billy and Grim switch places (Billy becomes the Grim Reaper, Grim becomes a stupid boy). At first each tries to do what the other would do, but Billy doesn't know how to reap someone, and Grim can't act normal. But then they start turning into each other - Billy becomes a skeleton like Grim, and Grim becomes a human like Billy.
[edit] Chicken Ball Z
Mandy is in karate class and Billy is doing a poor job at it. When class is over, Mandy sees a poster that says that there's going to be a Junior Karate Tournament and she really wants to enter! So she goes down to a mysterious Chinese store and receives a magical chicken ball from a Chinese guy by the counter. When she puts the whole thing in her mouth, it fulfills her greatest desire. The chicken ball transforms Mandy into a super-being with gold-blonde, spiky and glowing hair (Which looks like a flame) so that she can enter the tournament to win a cash prize of $50,000! She easily defeats all the kids using her strength and powers, but she starts acting crazy when she wins the award because the power has made her unstable and possibly even more malovent! Grim is suspicious and he soon finds out that Mandy's "trainer", Quan Ti(the Chinese guy who gave Mandy the chicken ball), was actually Eris, goddess of chaos. Grim should had stopped Eris, but instead he turns Billy into a super-being, in which he is still the same expect his tuff of hair is tied into a ponytail, and the hair is orange. He did that so that Billy and Mandy could fight(and kill each other, he hopes)! Alas, Billy challenges Mandy, they then engage in a powerful, tiring battle, but they have equal powers and nobody can win. They start powering up and people from the audience run away due to the stadium giving up on the power shown. Billy and Mandy grow far too strong and perish the building! Grim and Eris both think that they finally got rid of them, but somehow Billy and Mandy are still alive! In the end, Mandy gets a cash prize of $50,000, and spends it buying the Bunny Island, and all the henchmen working on it, from the Evil Con Carne.
[edit] Cultural References
- Chicken Ball Z is a parody of Dragon Ball Z. The Chicken Ball is a pun of the Dragon Ball.
- Mandy gains glowing yellow hair, a reference to Super Saiyan transformations. Billy also looks nearly bald when he gets powers, perhaps a reference to Piccolo or Nappa.
- The speech that Billy says to Mandy shortly before they do battle is a parody Darth Vader's speech to Obi Wan Kenobi before they duel.
- The Stadium looks like the World Martial Arts tournament Dome in the Dragon Ball Series.
- The quirky announcer sounds just like the commentator on Dragon Ball.
- When Grim approaches Billy before transforming him, Billy is playing a handheld video game called "Duty Tag". The sound effects are taken from Wario Land II.
- The name "Quan Ti" is most likely a parody of Quan Chi from Mortal Kombat.
- The name of old man who Billy try to reap is Mr. Voorhees, It could reference to Jason Voorhees the mass murderer from the Friday the 13th series.
[edit] Trivia
- A controversial comic of The Grim Tales from Down Below is based off this episode. It depicts that Mandy caused the 9/11 attacks.
