Gribskov municipality

As of January 1, 2007 Gribskov municipality will, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), come into existence as a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Denmark. It will consist of the (what are currently existing, but on January 1, 2007) former municipalities of Græsted-Gilleleje and Helsinge. This will create a municipality with an area of 278 km² and a total population of 40,360 (2006). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Hovedstaden ("Capital Region").
