Ok, next point. The first person to copy and paste one of those stupid welcome messages into my talk page gets a good kick up the backside.

How about this then...it is my personal preference that you don't vandalise my talk page by putting a welcome message in it. Please respect my wishes.

Of course, if you wish to make a personal welcome, I am more then willing to say hi. But it better not have the word "pillar" in it...
