[edit] Bakers Oven no longer exists?

Is Greggs in the process of phasing out the Bakers Oven brand name? The Bakers Oven store I normally go to has been rebranded as Greggs (unfortunately doing away with the sit-in cafe, and replacing the nice Bakers Oven sandwiches with Greggs' not-quite-so-nice versions). 217.34.39.123 12:13, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Pasties"

Did the original contributor mean to type "pastries"?

I'm sure that the Greggs products called "Steak Bake", "Chicken Bake", and "Sausage and Bean Melt" are not pasties, strictly speaking, as they do not contain potato. 217.155.20.163 22:01, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Newcastle section

The list of branches given here is outdated and inaccurate. More Greggs outlets have opened in central Newcastle since the list was compiled, and some of the locations listed (e.g. Shields Road) are not in central Newcastle at all.

Anyway, is it really worth having the list in the article - I'd say that only really notable branch is the one in Gosforth High Street, as that is the street where John Gregg first set up shop in the 1930s. (I'm not 100% sure if the current Greggs shop is Gregg's original one.) AdorableRuffian 15:23, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
