Grevesmühlen

Grevesmühlen is a town in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northern Germany. It is the capital of the Nordwestmecklenburg district. It is situated 33 km east of Lübeck, and 29 km northwest of Schwerin.
The name "Grevesmühlen" goes back as far as 1226, which makes it one of the oldest towns in the Bundesland.
Famous people to come from the town include Rudolph Karstadt, Carsten Jancker, Jens Voigt and Astrid Kumbernuss. Also, the nationalist musician Daniel Eggers was born and died in the town.
