Gregory Martin (politician)

Gregory Martin is a Canadian politician. He is a city councillor in the city of Brantford, Ontario, and was the Conservative Party of Canada candidate for the riding of Brant in the 2004 federal election.

Martin was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, and received a Diploma in Aviation and Flight Technology from Seneca College, Toronto, Ontario, in 1981. He obtained his Flight Instructor's rating later that year.

Martin, a firefighter by trade, has been actively involved in local politics since 1993 when he joined the Brant Reform Party of Canada Riding Association. He served as Association President in 1995 and Vice-President in 1996. He has been an active campaigner for Reform/Canadian Alliance candidates in federal elections and for provincial Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario candidates in provincial elections.

Martin is currently in his second term as a City Councillor for the City of Brantford. He ran in the 2004 federal election for the Conservative Party of Canada but lost to Liberal candidate Lloyd St. Amand by a 17,856 to 20,589 margin.
