Gregorio Lazzarini

Gregorio Lazzarini (Venice, 1655 - Villabona, 10 November 1730) was a Venetian painter.
He initially trained with the Genovese painter Francesco Rosa , Girolamo Forabosco, and with the studio of Pietro della Vecchia. He joined the painters guild in Venice in 1687. Lazzarini lived most of his life in the republic. He was the brother of the proficient painter, Elisabetta Lazzarini (1662–1729). Some of his paintings grace the Doge’s Palace. He is best known for being the mentor of Giambattista Tiepolo.
