Greg Sutton (born 19 April 1977 in Hamilton, Ontario) is a Canadian soccer player. He is the goalkeeper for the Canadian national team, and a former keeper for the Montreal Impact of the USL. Sutton was born in Hamilton but spent a good part of his youth playing soccer in Danbury, Connecticut where his father's employer transfered him. But Sutton warmed up to his Canadian roots through six years in Montreal, four of them as a USL all-star and the past two years (2005 & 2006) with the national team.
Sutton previously played for Cincinnati Riverhawks and briefly for Chicago Fire. In the 2004-2005 season he had a trial with top English sides Bolton Wanderers and Fulham FC. On November 29, 2006, it was announced that Sutton has signed with Major League Soccer, where he was allocated to the newly-formed Toronto FC for the 2007 season.[1]
