Greer, Arizona

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greer is one of Arizona's favorite retreats into the White Mountains.

Sitting at approximately 8,600 feet in elevation, the small town rarely exceeds temperatures of 75 degrees Fahrenheit in the hottest months, creating resort-like weather just hours from scorching desert summers. The Little Colorado River runs through the town and there are numerous lakes in the area known for trout fishing. The beautiful summer scenery lends itself well to hiking and wildlife viewing, including elk, antelope, deer, beaver and even bears.

Greer's altitude and precipitous winters also provide winter recreation in the form of cross-country skiing and the 65-run Sunrise Ski Park is only 30 minutes away.
