Greenwald is a city in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 201 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²), all land.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 201 people, 85 households, and 61 families residing in the city. The population density was 100.8/km² (260.2/mi²). There were 89 housing units at an average density of 44.6/km² (115.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
There were 85 households out of which 21.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.5% were married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% were non-families. 21.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.77.
In the city the population was spread out with 16.9% under the age of 18, 11.4% from 18 to 24, 17.9% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 26.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 103.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.7 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $37,000, and the median income for a family was $42,125. Males had a median income of $31,923 versus $21,071 for females. The per capita income for the city was $17,539. None of the families and 2.4% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 11.1% of those over 64.
