Green Light Racing is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team. The team began competing in 2000 with Bobby Dotter driving the #45 People Against Drugs Chevrolet in two races. For the 2001 season the team expanded to two trucks with Bobby Dotter competing in the #08 People Against Drugs Chevrolet for the full season and Gene Christensen driving the #07 Racing For Kids Chevrolet in a limited schedule. Dotter would have the best finish for the team during the year, a 10th place finish at IRP. In 2002, Bobby Dotter returned to drive the #08 Chevrolet, which went without a sponsor for the majority of the season. For the #07 team Jason Small would drive a Chevrolet featuring sponsorship from Sunbelt Rentals . Dotter again would post the best finish on the season with a 4th place finish at Martinsville. Small would post two top ten finishes, while Dotter would have four on the season. Green Light Racing would return for the 2003 season with Bobby Dotter driving for the #07 team and Jody Lavender driving for the #08 team. The #08 team would compete in all 25 events with Lavender driving all except for two races, which Dotter ran with the team. Dotter had the best finish on the season an 11th at both Daytona and South Boston. In 2004, Shane Sieg would drive in 19 events with the #07 team, Ken Weaver competing in 15 events with #08 team, Bobby Dotter driving in two races, and Andy Houston driving in one race for the team. Seig would have the best finish of the season with an 8th place finish at the Milwaukee Mile. Green Light Racing began the 2005 season with Sean Murphy driving the #07 Chevrolet and Ken Weaver driving the #08 Chevrolet. After three races with the team, Weaver left and returned to ARCA and was replaced with Rich Bickle. Sean Murphy was replaced after the tenth race of the season with Chris Wimmer. Eric Norris, Jack Bailey, Tam Topham, and Butch Miller also competed in races for the team. Weaver posted the best finish of the season with a 6th place finish at Daytona. For 2006, Chad McCumbee will drive for the #08 team, while the #07 team has no set driver. Drivers who have competed for Green Light Racing this year include Wayne Edwards, Johnny Chapman, Kevin Lepage, Butch Miller, Robert Turner, Justin Martz, Clint Bowyer, Sean Murphy, Eric Norris, Mike Greenwell, Chris Wimmer, and Bobby Hamilton Jr.
