Green Library
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cecil H. Green Library is the main library on the Stanford University campus and part of Stanford University Libraries and Academic Information Resources (SULAIR). It is named for Cecil H. Green.
Green Library houses over 2 million volumes, most of which are related to the humanities and social sciences. The building was constructed in the 1910s, and an annex was later added in 1980. The original construction is now known as the Bing Wing. It is named after Peter Bing, who donated a substantial amount of money for fixing the original library after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
Books from Green Library are being scanned as part of the Google Print project.
