It is one of the two area codes of the Kefalonia prefecture. The area code until 2001 was 0671, it became 06910 and on November 2002, it switched to 26910 which is the present area codes. The area code has 5 digits. The area code are used in 3 municipaplities, Argostoli, Eleios-Pronnoi, Leivathos and Paliki as well as the commune of Omala. It is bordered with the Greek dialing code 26740 to the north and the east.
