Greater German People's Party
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Greater German People's Party (German Großdeutsche Volkspartei) was a political party during the First Republic (1918-1934) of Austria, founded in 1920. It supported unification (Anschluss) with the German Empire. Many of its adherents later supported the Nazis. The "Greater German" sentiment was one of the political currents that, after World War II, found shelter within the Federation of Independents and later the Freedom Party of Austria.
