Great Warford
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Great Warford is a small village in East Cheshire, England. Its inhabitants are generally senior citizens or property developers. It contains two public houses: the Stags Head and the Frozen Mop. One of its most notable buildings is Warford Hall, recently purchased by ex-footballer Ashley Ward. Many of the buildings in the village used to belong to a mental hospital called Mary Dendy Hospital.
The village is part of the prodigious SK9 postcode which has become known as an affluent area.[citation needed] It is approximately 2.5 miles away from Alderley Edge and 4 miles from Wilmslow.
